According to the organizers, the decision underscores a strong commitment to delivering a world-class race experience in Yenagoa, while positioning the event as one of the premier road races in Nigeria and beyond.

“Every runner counts, and with the introduction of chip timing, we are ensuring that each participant’s effort is properly recorded and recognized. This is about fairness, precision, and elevating the overall race experience,” the organizers stated.

In addition to the chip timing system, all runners who successfully complete the race will receive a finisher’s medal, celebrating their achievement and participation in what promises to be a historic sporting event.
