Young Nigerian Coach, Omokhodion Targets CAF, UEFA Licences

Gerrisyn Omokhodion, who just graduated from NIS, with an advanced certificate in Coaching and Training (Football) has set sights on CAF and UEFA Licences, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
He is currently undergoing a coaching internship with the newly formed Nigeria National League side, Inter Lagos FC.
Omokhodion, who played for Port Harcourt's enterprising side, SKE FC said he was inspired to venture into coaching to help budding players in their careers.
He referenced the likes of Pep Guardiola as his role model adding that he wants to aim higher in the coaching profession.
According to him; "For now, I will keep learning and gain more experience, and also do other coaching certifications like CAF and UEFA.
"I think I can make a positive change, and I'm very passionate about this Job. I want to help players grow and make them achieve greater things. Also, I want to learn from the very best, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho inspired me a lot, and Coach Lucky as well.
"There is an endless desire burning inside of me, each time I see the big coaches. I want to learn and do more. I want to make an impact in the football world. Like I always say, there is no perfect way of playing football."
Omokhodion played for the likes of Hollando Cootball Academy, captained Rivers United Feeders, and SKE FC, and represented Nigeria in the first Global Copa Coca-Cola championship in Brazil in 2014.
During his stint as a player, he won the Port Harcourt League, and League Cup with SKE FC, Port Harcourt Town League, and State Super League with Rivers United Feeders.
