Youth Games: Delta State Ready To Host Games

Precious Oham Delta State government has assured that the state is ready to host a befitting National Youth Games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Director-General of the State Sports Commission, Festus Ohwojero stated this during a chat with newsmen in Asaba. Ohwojero said the 8th edition of the National Youth Games to be hosted by Delta State at the Steven Keshi International Stadium would see new innovation and artistic displays that will narrate the State rich culture and sporting historic. The Director-General said the State is ready as the facilities used for the last edition of the National Youth Games were still intact, even though they would get a facelift. He assured that the challenges at the last edition of the Games had been attended to saying quality accomodations have already been secured for the visiting teams in a bid to make their stay and competition a memorable one. Meanwhile, over seven thousand athletes and officials from the 36 State and FCT are expected to take part in the 8th edition of the National Youth Games next month.
