"I think government alone cannot adequately fund sports, especially at the grassroots level, hence my position to invest my resources to the development of amateur boxing in the country "

"Let me assure you that this is not one of those pledges that won't be redeemed, I hope to deliver this project in four months so we are putting machinery in place immediately to kick-start the construction process Imadu told reporters".

The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu, praised the Yucateco boss for his dedication to developing boxing in the country. He also stated that the commission is always ready to collaborate with the organization whenever called upon.

"We are not oblivious to the humongous investment Yucateco has made to support the development of boxing in Nigeria, his pledge to build a boxing Gym at the stadium further reflects his unwavering commitment to the sports at the amateur level".

Fatodu also revealed that the stadium needed a boxing gymnasium to support the training of boxers in the state. He mentioned that Mr. Imadu's involvement will motivate more young people to participate in the sport by utilizing the facility.
