Zamalek came from a goal down to beat their fierce rivals, Al Ahly 4-3 on penalties to lift the CAF Super Cup trophy.

Al Ahly, determined to claim the prestigious trophy, took the lead just before halftime. A penalty was awarded in the 44th minute, and Danish-born Palestinian striker Abou Alli calmly slotted it into the net, giving his team a crucial advantage.

The goal seemed to spark Zamalek into action as they pressed for an equalizer. Their persistence paid off in the 77th minute when Naser Mansy found the back of the net with a clinical finish, leveling the score and setting up a tense finale.

With neither side able to break the deadlock during regular time, the match headed into a penalty shootout. It was here that Zamalek’s nerves of steel prevailed. Al Ahly missed two of their spot-kicks, and Zamalek capitalized on the errors, winning the shootout 4-3 to lift the CAF Super Cup.
