Zenith Women’s Basketball League Postponed, New Dates Announced

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has postponed the start of the 2025 Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League and released revised dates for the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In an official letter signed by the NBBF Secretary-General, Amina Amanchi, and circulated to participating teams and stakeholders on Saturday, the federation cited the need for improved logistics, coordination, and adequate preparation time as reasons for the rescheduling.

According to the new schedule, the Atlantic Conference preliminaries will now take place in Benin from July 21 to 29. Meanwhile, the Savannah Conference fixtures have been shifted to Abuja and will run from July 28 to August 5, featuring teams from the northern region.
