By Eche Amos
Popular 'How Go Dey Go' radio programme presenter, Ibrahim Abdullahi Osanga, has been formally appointed as Chairman of elite Nigerian football league Clubside, Nasarawa United, by Governor Abdullahi Audu Sule.
'Uncle Osanga' as the new chairman is fondly called, took over from the dissolved Barr. Isaac Danladi-led board which had been at the helms of affairs since 2011.
Though Osanga(father of Nigerian Junior International, King Osanga) was part of the dissolved board, he was, however, not deemed surplus to requirements as he was brought back as Chairman of the Lafia-based outfit.
The newly constituted board of Nasarawa United Football Club, in a move to reposition it for optimum performance in the future, comprises Ibrahim Abdullahi Osanga as Chairman, Isua Bitrus (Vice Chairman), Salisu Galadima Atakin Basira(Member), William Agassi(Member), Saidu Hamman( Member), Isa Mohammed(Member), Emmanuel Nathaniel( returned Member), Hamza Moyi Awe(Member), while Yahaya Musa Wambai is the Team Manager.
Their first litmus test will be leading the team in the 2019/2020 Nigerian Professional Football League Season which will kick-off on September 22, 2019.
