Abia Comets partner Rehoboth By Admin Nigeria National League side, Abia Comets Football Club has entered into a partnership agreement with non-league side, Rohoboth Football Club of Oyo. The partnership agreement, which was announced at the press conference of Rehoboth U-13 and U-15 Football Tourney, will see that the Umuahia based club side signs Rehoboth players every season. Comets at the beginning of the 2017/2018 NNL season recruited Farayola Olawale, Adegbite Oluwatosin, and Owolabi Habeeb, from Rehoboth. Known for his absolute commitment to the growth and developments of round leather game in the grassroots, President Abia Comets, Victor Nwakama, donated ten (10) sets of jerseys and three (3) giant trophies to Rehoboth. Rehoboth U-13 and U-15 football tourney would feature amazing talents that will fight for juicy prizes. The competition which again will serve as platforms to scout for Rehoboth future players has a lot to offer the participants. President Rehoboth FC, Oyeyemi Samuel, while speaking with newsmen noted; "We're glad to inform the prospective participants that Ayodele Group of School have decided to spice this year's edition up with the provisions of full academic scholarships for ten (10) outstanding players in both categories of the championship. Numerous prizes are in-stock as the winner, runner's up and third place champion of U-15 category would be presented with medals, jerseys and cash prizes of 100,000, 70,000 and 50,000 respectively. Meanwhile, the U-13 finalists shall be presented with medals and jerseys, the eventual winner shall smile home with the sum of 50,000. The runners' up and third place champion will receive 30,000 and 20,000 respectively coupled with jerseys and medals. The age grade championship which is expected to kick off on Sunday December 16, 2018 at ADS Primary School, Alagbon, in the city of Oyo is full of incentives with giant trophies for outstanding teams.
