Abuja Fans Celebrate EFCC FC Coach Resignation

Abuja
...Coach Shama Inusa in Tears while Tendering Resignation letter .... He should go, he has Killed the team-- Abuja Fan By Niyi Busari Nothing kill a team than a confused coach who does not have football philosophy, pattern as well as reading opponent game plans to figure out the weakness and strength of the opposing whenever a game is ongoing. It is worse to the extend that he does not know proper, effective instructions and information to dish out to players before and during a particular game, one of the regular player at EFCC revealed. No doubt, some coaches relied on luck and not tactics nor match reading prowess to win matches. Some are even lucky or well connected to always get a job despite their inefficiency. Former Jigawa Golden Star coach Shama Inusa is one of the Nigerian coaches that fall into the category of the above discription. How else do you describe a coach who met a team in the second position in the beginning of the second stanza of the 2017/18 Nigeria National League season, but ended up dragging the team to the relegation at the end of the season. He came to the team with twelve players which according to him are 'experienced' but old, but he ended up sacking ten of them for below par performance before the end of the season. Shama Inusa, the former EFCC FC of Abuja coach, moved the team away from its support base at Area 3 playing ground to a neighbouring state, Keffi where they struggled to pick points at home, despite plea from fans not to do so. For the first time in 10 years, he led EFCC FC to a disgraceful 2018 FCT Aiteo cup early exit to lowly rated non league team. Since the resumption of the second stanza of the 2017/18 NNL season, Inusa managed to get one point from four matches, a shameful and embarrassing results which was one of the reasons that led to his calculated resignation. Presently, EFCC FC are languishing in the bottom of the group A1 of the 2017/18 NNL table. The former FC Abuja have 10 points from 10 matches, won 3, drew 1, and lost 6 with 6 matches to play before the season come to an end. He tendered his resignation letter to the management of the team because he perceived he will be sacked if the woeful performance of the team persist. When the news of his resignation rented the air, there were jubilations even among fans and football stakeholders in the nations capital. Mr Olatunde Kilani, an Abuja based engineer and keen supporter of EFCC FC who spoke with www.bsnsports.com.ng said: "He has to go, he has killed our darling team. We knew he has nothing to offer since his first day when we watched him in training, he has no specific playing pattern," the angry looking fan disclosed. Salisu Ibrahim, a die-hard fan of the team who was extremely happy when he spoke with BSN Sports said the coach started his journey to failure when he decided to move the team away from his fan base stadium to a neighbouring state despite our plea to rescind the decision. "He started the journey that led to the team poor performance when he decided to move EFCC FC away from the Area 3 playing ground to Snake farm along Keffi road. From the first game, the team struggled to win at home." He stated. "Whenever he called any of us to the touch line during a game for an instruction, we would hope that he will dish out useful information on strategies to outplay the opponent but he will end up telling us 'mark, mark that boy out', no strategy, pattern before a match." One of the regular players who didn't want his name mentioned said. On Wednesday, EFCC will play their week 11 game against Malunfashi FC at the Malunfashi township stadium.
