Adebambo, Okagbue Join Mikel At Stoke City

The transfer window offers club a massive opportunity to either bring in or let go players in preparation for the return of club football. For Stoke City, curently playing in the English Championship division, they have been
busy in the transfer window in terms of
strengthening their squads.
They continue to send tongues wagging while sending massive statements of intent to other clubs who are also nursing the ambition of playing in the English Premier League next season. Also, it seems that Nigeria is the destination of choice for them, precisely Nigerian players. Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, joined them on a free transfer. Again, reports on their official website has it that the club have confirmed the signing of midfielder Gabriel Adebambo, 18; who joined the championship side from Dundalk in the Republic of Ireland.
Director, Gareth Owen confirmed this: "We signed Gabby from Ireland. We agreed the deal at the end of January but with the transfer window closed, we picked it up at the end of the season and stood by it," said Owen.
David Okagbue, another Nigerian has joined the Stoke. On the signing Stoke City said: "Centre back and a new signing from Ireland, tall, aggressive defender who is good on the ball also. A good talker and an all-round leader," Stoke City said on Okagbue.
The ambition this season will surely be to return back to the English Premier League next season.
