Hapoel Katamon boss, coach Mune, has paid tribute to the qualities of the former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Adedayo Adeleye who has been in superlative form since the beginning of the Israeli Division 2 league.
Adedayo has not conceded in as much as 3 matches since the league started, in total, he has conceded just one goal in nine games (6 pre-season) matches inclusive.
The Nigeria international who joined the club at the U17 level has been promoted to the U19 which play in the U19 league and are currently on the 2nd position in the table.
A number of teams were said to be interested in signing the Nigerian this summer, but the Jerusalem team managed to keep and have since tied the goalkeeper down to the club with captaincy.
Speaking from the team's base in Jerusalem with reporters, Mune claimed that Adedayo Adeleye is improving as a goalkeeper all of the time.
"We most times forget that he is less than 19, the level of his performance, leadership skills, composure during a match is unimaginable." He stated.
"He gives attitude, team spirit and leadership skills on the field. He is always comfortable with the ball, his ball calculation ability and timing is superb."
He added that his ability to command and arrange his team is top notch.
"It is great to have a player like this in our team." He concluded.
Adedayo Adeleye was part of the 2016 set of the Nigeria's U17 in 2016.
