Adetunji reflects over winning debut with Enyimba FC By Admin The Aba Elephants' forward was pleased making a winning start in their last Sunday’s Caf Confederation Cup win over Djoliba. Sunday Adetunji has expressed delight over his debut with Enyimba in their Sunday’s 1-0 Caf Confederation Cup win against Djoliba at the Modibo Keita Stadium, Bamako. The forward joined the People Elephants from rivals Abia Warriors and won a late penalty that Farouk Mohammed converted for Usman Abdullah’s men to secure the win. Despite not finding the net on his debut, the 20-year-old is unperturbed, stressing that his side’s victory was more important and further backed them for the Caf Confederation Cup diadem. "I am very proud and much pleased as it was a good way to start a good challenge with a new club,” Adetunji told Goal.“Well, I couldn’t score on my debut but I do not have any regret at all as the paramount thing was that we won, I know the goals will definitely come. It is just a matter of time.“We all had a good game against Djoliba in Bamako because we know how important the match is for us and we were mentality and technically prepared for the game.“I also think the motivation from the governor, management, coaches and the fans has really helped us. It was a team victory and I believe such will drive us far. We not only go far in the Confederation Cup, we are winning it.” The People Elephants are second on the Group C log with nine points and will be hoping to subdue CARA Brazzaville to guarantee a quarterfinal spot at the Aba Stadium on August 28.
