Adokiye Amaisimaka Upgraded For CAF Matches

Ahead of the CAF inter-club competitions, Rivers State government has swung into action in order to get the infrastructure ready for the competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The NFF ratified the League Management Company 2019/20 NPFL final standings that placed Rivers United in third on the log, the team will its home games at just refurbished Adokiye Amaisimaka stadium.
Rivers United finished in third position in the league after Point Per Game (PPG) and head to head method was applied which automatically dropped the team to Confederation cup slot but latest development coming from the state shows that they are not ready to accept the position.
Rivers United last represented the country in the champions league few years back but crashed out in the first round to Sudanese side El Merrerhk.
Apart from Rivers United, Plateau United, Enyimba international and Kano Pillars are the other teams that will fly the country's flag in the CAF inter-club competitions this season.
