AFCON 2019: Aina happy to make the cut

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina is happy to be part of the 23-man squad to the 2019 African Cup of Nations, www.bsnsports.com.ng can report.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr released the final list of players on Sunday after team played out a goalless draw against Warrior of Zimbabwe in Asaba, Delta state.

Aina expressed his excitements during an interview with BSN Sports.

"I'm happy, am extremely happy, is long time coming. He said smiling

Ola Aina encouraged his colleagues who were dropped to keep fighting on for the shirt by putting up brilliant performance in their clubs.

"It's unfortunate, they wish to be here but its unfortunate, they should keep their head up, rest in the coming weeks and recharge for the new season.

We wish to see them back in the team soon and there is much more to come", he stated.

Aina who played a pivotal role for FC Torino in the Italia Serie A this season, missed the Russia 2018 World Cup.
