AFCON 2019: Algeria Defeat Ivory Coast On Penalties To Set Up Super Eagles Semifinal Clash

Algeria senior national team defeated the Elephant of Coted'Ivoire 4-3 after a 1-1 regulation time to see up a semifinal clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The win means Algeria will trade tackles with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the semifinals of the 2019 African Nations Cup.

Super Eagles saw off South Africa 2-1 in the quarterfinal of the biennial tournament.

The three-time African champions have conceded five goals while Algeria conceded their first goal in the quarterfinal clash against Ivory Coast. Nigeria have scored 7 goals while their Algerian counterparts scored a total of 10 goals.

The semifinal match between Nigeria and Algeria gets underway on Sunday at 8:00 pm.
