AFCON 2019: CAS throws away Comoros protest

Courts for Arbitration for Sports has thrown away Comoros protest over Indomitable Lions eligibility to take part in the AFCON 2019 competition.

www.bsnsports.com.ng understand that Comoros protested after Cameroon was allowed to proceed and take part in the competition after been stripped off the host right of the biennial tournament.

Comoros Football Federation proceeded to CAS after CAF thrown away its protest and allowed the defending to move to Egypt.

CAS on Tuesday threw away the protest say that its 'Inadmissible'.

The verdict means Cameroon will be allowed to defend the trophy its won two years ago in Gabon.

Cameroon are grouped in group F alongside rival Ghana, Benin Republic and Guinea Bissau.
