AFCON 2019: 'Don't Use Eagles Successes As Political Propaganda' - Sen. Shehu Sanni Warns FG

Former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has reacted to the victory of the Super Eagles over South Africa at the ongoing tournament in Egypt.
Nigeria defeated the Bafana Bafana to progress to the semifinal of the tournament to set up a potential clash with Algeria.

Reacting to the victory, Shehu Sani warned the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration not to count this feat as an achievement for this administration as the losses of the team are also not accepted as failure of the government.

He tweeted:
“Don’t use Super Eagles successes for Political propaganda or count their victories as part of ‘the political achievement’;their defeats in the past has never been accepted as part of ‘failure of Government’.We should simply appreciate & celebrate them for flying despite all odds.”
