AFCON 2019: Egypt to receive 20 percent of proceeds By Sampson Adedeji With the competition yet to kick off, host of 2019 African Cup of Nations, Egypt is already counting its gains from the competition. The reports coming from CAF headquarters in Cairo indicated that the Arab nation will receive 20 percent proceeds from the tournament. www.bsnsports.com.ng understands that the proceeds may either come from the Sport Broadcast, tickets sales and advertisements. Egypt emerged the competition host after original host Cameroon was stripped of the hosting right due to delay in the infrastructures availability. The competition is scheduled to start on June 21st with Egypt taking on Zimbabwe.
