The chairman NFF Football Intermediaries Association of Nigeria (FIAN) Ayodele Thomas has tipped the Super Eagles to soar over the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in today's quarterfinal at the ongoing 2019 African Nations Cup, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Super Eagles defeated the tournament's defending champions and favorites in the Round of 16 on Saturday to book their quarterfinal tickets where they face Bafana Bafana.

South Africa on the hand, defeated the hosts and favourites Egypt in the second round to set up quarterfinal clash with Nigeria.

In a brief chat with www.bsnsports.com.ng, Thomas said, "First i must commend the NFF for their efforts in making sure that the team had good preparation and were paid as at when due. The players and the officials have also done a great job by making Nigerians proud."

"I will however, advised that they should not underrate the Bafana Bafana, the war must start from the blast of the whistle.

"If the Eagles do not take their foot off the pedal, then i tipped them to pick the semifinal ticket and move on to repeat the 2013 feat.

The three-time African champions will trade tackles with Bafana Bafana later today at the Cairo International Stadium at 8:00 pm.
