AFCON 2019: Super Eagles' Secret To Soar Over Cameroon - Ighalo

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has revealed the secret behind their 3-2 win over Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Shengai Shenhua striker Ighalo who won the Man of The Match award stated after the game that the Super Eagles players were confident and optimistic that they will win the game even when they were trailing Cameroon 1-2 at the half time.

Ighalo put Nigeria ahead in the 19th minutes of the first half before Bahoken and Clinton N'jie scored two goals in three minutes for the five time African champions. Despite their lead Ighalo said that they were full of confidence and believe that they will win the game.

"I want to thank God and i am very happy, it was a tough game. When we were losing the match 2-1 we still believe we can win the match. So i am that we scored the goals and won the game."

"We are going to Cairo tomorrow and preparation starts from there. I want to thanks all Nigerians for their support, they should keep supporting us and we go all the way."

The 3-2 win over Cameroon set Nigeria up a quarterfinal game against South Africa.
