AFCON 2019: Otedola fulfills his $25,000 promise to Super Eagles

Few weeks after the conclusion of 2019 African Cup of Nations, business mogul Femi Otedola has fulfilled the promise he made to Super Eagles ahead of the Semi Final match against Desert Foxes of Algeria.

Just before the match, Otedola promised to give Super Eagles $25,000 for each goal scored against the Algerians, the promised was made in order to motivate the team.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of the North Africans who ended up winning the competition with another 1-0 win over Teranga Lions of Senegal in the final match of the competition.

Otedola on Tuesday handed $25,000 to Eagles Team Administrator, Enebi Anchor and Equipment manager, Chidi Ngoka in the presence of Kenneth Omeruo as the team only scored one goal in the semifinal match against Algeria. on Tuesday afternoon in presence of defender Kenneth Omeruo, Team Administrator Enebi Anchor and Equipment manager Chidi Ngoka.

Nigeria ended the competition with a Bronze medal after a 1-0 win over Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the third place playoff.
