AFCON 2019: President Buhari, Atiku Congratulate Super Eagles

Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR has congratulated the Super Eagles on their 3-2 win over Cameroon in their Round of 16 at the ongoing African Nations Cup in Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Buhari attributed the Super Eagles win to winning spirit and hard work reassuring them of federal government total support.

On his official Twitter handle, Buhari wrote:

"Congratulations to our Super Eagles. We salute your hardwork, team spirit and sportsmanship. You have our full support on this quest for glory."

In the same vein, former Nigeria vice president Atiku Abubakar also congratulated the Nigeria senior national team over their quarterfinal feat after dumping Cameroon out of the 2019 African Cup of Nations. He added that their resilience and teamwork gave them the edge.

"A delightful evening of quality and resilient football. Congratulations @NGSuperEagles on your quarterfinal qualification. We are proud of you. #TotalAFCON2019 #NGACMR." Atiku wrote on his Twitter after Super Eagles Round of 16 victory.
