AFCON 2019: Mikel fits for Bafana Bafana

Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder and captain John Mikel Obi has been declared fit for the upcoming quarter final clash against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the ongoing AFCON 2019, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Chelsea midfielder suffered the injury in the last group game against Barea of Madagascar and sit out last match against the defending champion Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr made the declaration during a press conference organised on Tuesday in Cairo.

“We don’t have any injury worries again. All 23 players are fit for this game which is good for us,” Rohr said.

It's yet to be seen if former Tianjin Teda midfielder will start against Bafana Bafana on Wednesday at the Cairo International stadium.
