AFCON 2019 Semis: Algeria Set Up Nigeria Clash As Tunisia Tackle Senegal

The two semi-final fixtures at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, have been confirmed, following the completion of the quarter-final matches on Thursday.

In the first quarterfinals match on Thursday, Cote d'Ivoire lost 3-4 on penalties to Algeria after a 1-1 regulation time draw. Algeria, the 1990 champions will trade tackles with three-time African champions, Super Eagles on Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium at 8:00 pm. The second semifinal will see Nigeria reignite the Algiers 1990 memory where Super Eagles narrowly lost to Algeria 1-0 in the final.

Also, in the first semifinal, Senegal will take on Tunisia, who defeated Madagascar 3-0 in the previous quarterfinals on Thursday. The match comes up 5:00 pm on Sunday.
