AFCON 2019: Ighalo gun down Cameroon again as Super Eagles become $75,000 richer

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Shanghai Shenhua striker Odion Ighalo was the star man again as Nigeria sent out indomitable Lions of Cameroon from 2019 African Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Few hours before the second round tie between Nigeria and Cameroon, AITEO Group Chairman, Mr Benedict Peter promised to give the Nigeria national team the sum of $2,500 per goal scored.
It was Ighalo who opened the scoring in the first quarter of an hour but two quickfire goals from Bashoken and Clinton Njie ensured the first stanza ended 2-1.
Nigeria resumed the better side in the second stanza particularly when Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr introduced Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze for Moses Simon paid off as Ighalo leveled the game for Nigeria.
Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi selead the game for Nigeria two minute later and former Watford striker missed glorious chance to record his hat trick.
All the efforts by the defending champion, Indomitable Lions proved abortive as the introduction of Leon Balogun for Iwobi later in the game further strengthen Nigeria backline.
Meanwhile, the victory ensured that Nigeria's Super Eagles are $75,000 richer just as promised by the Aiteo Group boss Benedict Peter and Nigeria Football Jefferson president, Amaju Pinnick also promised $20,000 for their win over Cameroon.
The Aiteo boss promised the team $25,000 for each goal scored shortly before the start of the match.
