AFCON 2019: Super Eagles players misses out on CAF XI

Despite winning two matches and losing one, no Nigeria's Super Eagles players was found worthy by Confederation of African Football ( CAF) to be included in CAF XI for the group stages, BSN Sports can report.

Host, Egypt dominated the team with 4 players which include Mo Sallah, El Mohamady, Amir Hegazy and goalkeeper El Shennanwy.

Algeria has 2 players, 1 player each from Senegal, Madagascar, Morocco, Cameroon and Ghana completed the list.

Defender Kenneth Omeruo who posed an outstanding performance in the first two matches was shockingly omitted.

The Nigeria side still has no players in the seven players that made the substitute lists.

Nigeria will be back in action on Saturday as they face defending champion indomitable lion of Cameroon in the round of 16.
