AFCON 2019: Super Eagles visits pyramids.

After a third place finished in the 2019 African Cup of Nations, Nigeria's Super Eagles technical crew and players decided to relax and enjoy the beauty of Egypt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team which is bound to arrive Nigeria on today visited one of the wonders of the World The Pyramids on Thursday evening.

The 3-time African champions defeated Carthage Eagles of Tunisia 1-0 in the third place play off on Wednesday at Al Salam stadium.

The team defender Shehu Abdullahi expressed his excitement over the experience.

"We have landed at the Pyramids! After a 'bittersweet' tournament with my teammates, coaches & backroom staff, it was great to go out, relax & witness the wonders of the world. Egypt is a beautiful country with rich history & it’s been a great experience to see it all!" he wrote

Nigeria won 5 out of the 7 matches played in the competition to place third in the biennial tournament.
