AFCON 2019: Uganda president rewards Cranes with $1 million

Despite its loss to Teranga Lions of Senegal in the round of 16 of the ongoing 2019 African Cup of Nations , Uganda President HE Yuweri Kaguta Museveni has rewarded Cranes with a whopping $US1 million, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Senegal defeated Uganda 1-0 on Saturday courtesy Sadio Mane goal.

The team received applause for its performance across the country and the President deemed it fit to reward the team.

Uganda finished second behind host Pharaoh of Egypt in the group game and pushed one of the tournament favourite Senegal to a limit.

Coach of the team Sebatien Desabre left the team on Sunday and signed for Egyptian premier league side Pyramid Fc
