AFCON 2021: AFCON Is Never A Small Tournament - Aina

FC Torino of Italy defender, Ola Aina has described the African Cup of Nations as a big football tournament, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The competition has faced criticism in recent time mostly from the European clubs and millions of football great from the continent and beyond have given their supports to the tournament.
Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Aina threw his weight behind the competition and described the atmosphere in Cameroon as electrifying.
He further said is ready to give his best to the Nigeria side as they prepared to face Egypt in the group opener on Tuesday in Garoua.
"It's very good, I love the atmosphere. We are very close together. We are like a family which is very important."
"I want to play well for the team and put up good performances that will help the squad."
"I said to my roommate (Alex Iwobi) that when you come here, you realise what privilege is to play at this tournament.
The magnitude of this competition is massive. I will never feel AFCON is a small tournament, the world shouldn't see it like that,"
This will be the second time Aina will participate in the competition as he was part of the team to Egypt in 2019.
