AFCON 2021: Burkina Faso Threaten To Boycott The Opening Match

According to the report coming from the camp of Stallions of Burkina Faso, the team is set to boycott the opening match of the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Burkina Faso are scheduled to play the hosts, Indomitable Lions in the opening match which slated for Olembe Stadium on Sunday.
The reason cited by the Burkina Babes is the inconsistency in the result of the covid 19 test released on Saturday.
Nine members of the Stallions which includes Edmond Tapsoba, Dango Quatarra, Abass Traore Saidou Simpore, Soumaila Quatarra and two coaches Kalo Malo and Alain Nana tested positive for the pandemic.
Burkina Fasofaso FA protested the result and requested for the test to be carried out by the independent Laboratory under the close supervision of CAF and its doctors.
They further threatened to boycott the match unless their wish is carried out concerning the tests.
