AFCON 2021: CAF Gives Nigeria Others Deadline On Provisional List Sampson Adedeji Barely three months to the kick-off of 2021 African Cup of Nations, the African soccer governing body (CAF) has given participating teams a deadline on list provisional lists submission, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Nigeria's Super Eagles will be among the 24 countries that will take part in the biennial tournament slated for Cameroon in January next year. CAF on Friday gave participating teams until the 30th of December 2021 to submit their 30-man list which must be pruned down to 28 players in January. Due to Coronavirus and changes in substitution, CAF a few days ago, increased the number of squads to 28 players against the initial 23 players per team. The competition is scheduled to kick-off on the 9th of January to the 6th of February, 2022
