AFCON 2021: Ivorian Goalkeeper Suspended Sampson Adedeji Barely 10 days to the commencement of the 2021 African Cup of Nations, preparations of the Elephants of Cote'dIvoire has suffered a major blow, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The 2015 champions is currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia preparing for the competition slated for Cameroon. World soccer governing on Thursday evening announced the suspension of their first choice goalkeeper Sylvain Gbohouo for the usage of banned substances. Indomitable Lions of Cameroon shot stopper Andre Onana has just returned to action after spending 9 months out due to similar offences. Gbohouo was founded in November to have taken Trimetazidine which is already banned substances. FIFA further said they will soon get back on the final decision on the goalkeeper. If the decision stand, it means Gbohouo will miss the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
