AFCON 2021: Nigeria Face Tunisia In Second Round Sampson Adedeji After qualifying for the second round of the 2021 African Cup of Nations in style, Nigeria's Super Eagles will have to contend with another North African team in the round of 16, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Out of the 24 participating countries, Nigeria were the only country that recorded massive 9 points. The three-time African champions pick three points each from 3 matches against Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau. After the completion of the group game on Thursday, it was confirmed that Nigeria will face the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the next round. Tunisia reached the second round as one of the third best-placed teams after they suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Gambia. Super Eagles got the better of Tunisia in the third-place playoff of the last edition in Egypt with Odion Ighalo netting the only goal of the game. The second round match has been fixed for Garoua on Sunday at 8 pm.
