AFCON 2021 Qualifier: Sierra Leone Appoints New Coach For Super Eagles
By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the match day 3 of the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Nigeria's Super Eagles, Sierra Leone Football Association has appointed a new coach for the Leone Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The double header match against Nigeria was earlier slated for March before the outbreak of Corona virus led to the indefinite suspension of the qualifiers.
Former Ghanaian coach Sellah Tetteh was in charge of the team in the match day one and two of the qualifiers.
The country's soccer governing body on Tuesday morning announced John Keister as the new head coach of the team.
Keister was in charge between 2017 and 2019 before Tetteh took over from him.
Sierra Leone will hope to rekindled their dwindling hope when they face Nigeria in the qualifier later in the year.
The Super Eagles are topping the group with maximum six points from two games.
