AFCON 2021 Qualifiers: Nigeria lands in pot 1

Despite 2019 African Cup of Nations still ongoing, Confederation of African Football has released the qualifier procedure for the 2021.

According to the release, there will be 12 groups of four teams each.

The procedure which was released on Thursday put Nigeria's Super Eagles in pot 1, alongside Morocco, Algeria, Ghana, Egypt Senegal, Tunisia, Burkinafaso, Mali, CIV and host Cameroon.

Guinea, South Africa, Cape Verde, Uganda, Zambia, Benin, Gabon, Congo, Mauritania, Niger, Kenya and Libya are in group.

Madagascar, Zimbabwe, CAR, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Angola, Malawi, Tanzania and Sudan falls in group 3.

Group 4 consists of Burundi, Rwanda, E/Guinea, Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Comoros and Ethiopia.

While group involves Liberia, Mauritius, Gambia, South Sudan, Chad, Sao Tome, Seychelles and Djibouti.

Meanwhile, the draw date is set for July 18, 2019.
