AFCON 2021: South Africa Referee Take Charge of Nigeria, Sudan Clash Sampson Adedeji When Nigeria's Super Eagles face Sudan in the second group game of the 2021 African Cup of Nations, the South Africa referee will be in charge of the game, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Gambia Papa Malick Gassama was at the centre in the Nigeria opening game against Egypt and it was the Super Eagles that carried the day by a lone goal. African soccer governing body on Saturday announced experienced South Africa's Victor Gomes as the referee that will oversee the match in Garoua. Sudan will require a win in that game having played out a goalless draw against Guinea Bissau in their first match. Super Eagles of Nigeria will join host Cameroon and Morocco as the teams that have booked their place in the round of 16 if they should be Sudan.
