Sampson Adedeji
Super Eagles forward, Sadiq Umar, has admitted that the game against Guinea Bissau was a difficult match but also recognised it as a special moment to score for Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
After missing a glorious opportunity to put Nigeria ahead in the final group game, UD Almeria striker netted the opening goal for Super Eagles before he was replaced by Peter Olayinka.
While reacting to the match, Umar said the game was tough as Guinea Bissau came out to play but further said it was a special moment for him to score for Nigeria in the competition.
”It’s not an easy game, every game in this tournament is a hard game they Guinea-Bissau came out to give everything.
For me, it’s a special moment for me and my family and thank you for supporting us.”
"I’m calm always whenever I play and if I have one chance and don’t take it I know another one will come. I just have to keep being me and believing in myself," he told NFF TV.
