Super Eagles Hold First Training Session In Garoua By Niyi Busari The Super Eagles of Nigeria held their first training session at the VSTS-Annex of Roumde Adjo Stadium in Garoua Cameroon on Thursday. The team had arrived in Garoua on Wednesday night and started their preparations ahead of the 33rd AFCON campaign on Thursday. The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on Tuesday night sent forth the Super Eagles to the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon with a dinner. Two players, Italy–based Tyrone Ebuehi and fellow wing-back Jamilu Collins, who plays in Germany, are both expected to team up with the delegation in Garoua today. Meanwhile, Eguavoen expressed optimism that forward Odion Ighalo could still join the team in Cameroon. The Super Eagles will take on the Pharaohs of Egypt in their opening game next week Tuesday.
