AFCON 2021: We Are Ready For Face Tough Opposition - Akpeyi

Ahead of the opening group game against Pharaohs of Egypt, Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akepyi, has said that the team is prepared to face any opposition that comes their way, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The 2013 champions will begin their campaign against Egypt on Tuesday in Garoua to secure maximum points against the North Africa giant.
While speaking ahead of the match, Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper said they are ready not only for Mohammed Sallah but for all the opposition.
"The atmosphere was expected to be exciting. Everywhere has been busy right now because the AFCON is a big tournament.
"The goalkeeping department is not just preparing for Salah but the entire Egypt team. We are ready for every single person on the pitch.
"So far the Goalkeepers that have been playing are doing well.
"Nigeria is blessed to have a good crop of players. The fans always expect results from the team. The players are good to go. What we need from Nigerians is their support. Heart to heart and mind to mind,"
Akpeyi was in goal throughout the Nigeria campaign in the 2019 edition of AFCON in Egypt except for the third place match against Madagascar.
