Champions, Algeria on Sunday left with one point in two games after a shock 0-1 defeat in the hand of Equatorial Guinea while Ivory Coast were also held to a 1-1 draw by Sierra Leone, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Coming into the competition unbeaten in two years and with one point in their first group game, Algeria were condemned to winning the second match but surprisingly lost to lowly rated Equatorial Guinea.
After a scoreless first stanza, it was Obiang that netted the only goal of the game to shock the 2019 champions.

Scorpion of Gambia secured their passage into the round of 16 in their first attempt with a 1-1 draw against the Eagles of Mali.
Kone put Mali ahead in the 79th minute through a penalty but Musa Barrow equalized for the Gambia from the spot in the 93rd minute.
