AFCON 2023: CAF Inspection Team Arrive In Ivory Coast Sampson Adedeji In order to have smooth preparations and competition, the inspection team of the African soccer governing body has landed in Ivory Coast to assess the level of readiness of the country, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The inspection team arrived in the country on Monday evening December 27, 2021 and their objective is to assess the level of preparation of the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. With less than two years from the competition, the football body does not want to leave anything to chance. The inspection mission deployed to Côte d'Ivoire on Monday is made up of the Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu, and the Manager of the Cameroon office, Sara Rehanne. They are in the land of the Elephants to work on four main issues relating to the preparation of AFCON 2023. During its working visit, the mission will meet with Ivorian officials on the state of preparation for the tournament and the establishment of the CAF office in Abidjan. They will also discuss the dates and location of the draw as well as the dates of the final tournament. On their arrival in Ivory Coast, Samson Adamu and Sara Rehanne were received in the audience at the Cabinet of the Ministry in charge of Sports by François Yao Alla. They then visited the closed Ebimpé stadium for additional work, particularly related to the lawn and the delegation of the African Football Confederation also had the opportunity to hold a technical meeting with the National Sports Office.
