The 33rd edition is presently ongoing in Cameroon and 24 countries are slugging out for the title. According to the report coming from Botswana, the country has already approached their neighbours Namibia in order to submit a joint bid for the 36th edition coming up in 2027. Namibia's minister of Sports Audrin Mathe confirmed the Botswana approach on Wednesday afternoon. Botswana & Namibia set to bid to co-host 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. “Yes, I can confirm that the minister of sport in Botswana has written to our minister but these are still early days and no decision has been made yet,” he said. Cote d'Ivoire will host 2023 edition while 2025 edition will be held in Guinea.
