AFCON Goalking Odion Ighalo Wins First Title With Shangai Shenhua

Ex-Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has won his first major title with his Chinese club, Shangai Shenhua after defeating Shadong Luleng 3-1 on aggregate in the Chinese FA Cup final, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Shadong Luleng had pipped the champions 1-0 at home in the first leg before Shangai turned the table against them in the second leg beating the visitors 3-0 to lift the FA Cup at the Hongkou Football Stadium.

Kang Hee Choi-led team struggled in the first half as it ended 0-0 but were geared up in the second half to pick Asian Football Confederation Champions League ticket.

Kim Shim-wook put the hosts ahead in the 60th minute before Stephan El sharaawy doubled the advantage in the 81st minute.

N'Doumbu left it late before compounding the visitor's woes when he scored the third goal in the 83rd minute.

The former Watford striker, Ighalo replaced the first goal scorer in the 64th minute.

Being the FA Cup champion, Shenhua Shangai will be part of AFC Champions League.
