AFCON Qualifier: CAF Fines Gambia Football Federation.

Following their poor attitude toward the Gabonese players and officials in the match 4 of the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier, Africa soccer governing body has imposed fine on Gambia Football Federation, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Upon their arrival in Gambia, players of the Gabonese national team were stranded at the airport for more than five hours.
The entire delegation of the Gabonese team spent the night at the airport, and were pictured sleeping on the bare floor.
CAF Disciplinary Committee at the end of its meeting considered the Statutes and Regulations of CAF, Considering articles 10, 11, 43.1, 46, 83 and 151 of the Disciplinary Code.
The Committee concluded that the Gambian federation did not respect the values of loyalty, sporting integrity and the rules of fairplay concerning the reception of the Gabonese delegation.
The Disciplinary Jury of CAF then decided to impose on the Gambian federation a fine of 100,000 USD (One Hundred Thousand American Dollars) including 50,000 USD (Fifty Thousand American Dollars) suspended on condition that the Gambian federation is not found guilty of a similar offense within the next twenty-four (24) months.
