AFCON U20: Nigeria, South Africa ends in draw.

Flying Eagles' second group game against South Africa in the ongoing U20 African Nations Cup ended in a stalemate, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria's Flying Eagles hope of securing a world cup ticket on the match day two of the U20 African Cup of Nations was delayed after playing out a goalless draw with South Africa.

The Nigeria team won their first game 2-0 and was tagged a favourite against the Amajita of South Africa.

South Africa on its parts played a 1-1 draw against host Niger on the opening day.

The start of the game see Nigeria side dominating the early exchanges and pegged back South Africa.

The duo of Maxwell Effiong and Nazifi Yahaya posed a constant threat to South Africa but goalkeeper of the Amajita proves equal to the task.

The second stanza was not different as South Africa defended stoutly to earn a valuable one point against Nigeria and allow World Cup qualification to go to the wire.

Nigeria will require a draw against host Niger in the last game while will look for outright victory over Burundi to ensure qualification.
