AFCON U23: Dream Team VII arrive Egypt, start training

Nigeria's Dream Team VII has arrived Egypt, venue of this year's U23 African Cup of Nations and immediately commenced training ahead of the Nations Cup finals, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

A team consists of 13 players and 9 official headed by coach Imama Amapakabo departed Nigeria on Thursday afternoon and arrived Cairo international Airport 9pm local time.

The Nigerian delegation were immediately taken to the city of Ismaila and were lodged at Mercure Hotel.

The team started training on Friday morning as they hit gym for physical training, just as the other players were still being expected.

Nigeria will open its campaign in Egypt against Cote d'Ivoire before facing South Africa and Zambia later in the group. The Nigeria's U23 were crowned champions four years ago will be hoping to defend the title.
