AFCON U23: Dream Team VII clash with South Africa, 2 others

Ahead of the 2019 U23 African Cup of Nations, Nigeria's Dream Team VII has been placed in the same group with their counterparts from South Africa, Zambia and Cote d'Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng understands.

Nigeria qualified to defend the trophy they won claimed in 2015 after beating Sudan over the two legs.

The draw which was held on Wednesday evening at Alexandria in Egypt saw host in group A alongside Ghana, Mali and Cameroon.

Nigeria Dream Team is one of the few U23 in the World to have won all the available medals at the football event of the Olympics.

Nigeria won Gold in Atlanta in 1996, clinched Silver at Beijing 2008 and Bronze at Rio 2016 in Brazil.

This year AFCON U23 is slated for Egypt from November 8th to 22nd with first 3 team representing Africa at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics games.
