By Sampson Adedeji

Ahead of the last group match at the ongoing U23 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, South Africa midfielder Teboho Mokoena has said that the South Africa U23 national team is ready to face Nigeria on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria's U23 national team will face their counterparts from South Africa at Al Salam stadium on Friday with winner securing its passage into the last four of the competition.

Mokoena netted the free kick that secured maximum three points for South Africa against Cote d'Ivoire and believed that he can still repeat same against Nigeria.

“We have been solid at the back in our previous two group games while pressing forward to create scoring chances of our own. The same approach will be applied in this tie, as we also want to win this game as well.

"We played really well against Ivory Coast in our previous match and Nigeria is another side that we will need to manage as well,” Mokoena said.

The match between South Africa and Nigeria will kick-off at 20:00 local time
