Afees Aremu Debuts in St. Pauli Victory

It was a sweet day for newly acquired Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Afees Aremu as he made a debut in his club St Pauli 1-0 win over Sonderjsky E, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Akwa United midfielder was captured by German Bundesliga 2 side last week a 3 year deal after a successful spell with Norwegian side IK Start.

Afees started the game and was instrumental to the team only goal of the game scored in the 29th minute by Tashchy.

He was replaced in the 69th minute by Rodrigo Salazar after he gave a good account of himself.

The player was excited after the match and posted on his social media handle "End training matches with a win".

Afees is expected to be in action for St Pauli when the league officially kick off.
