AFN Annual General Meeting In Awka Illegal - Board Members

The Annual Genaral Meeting of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, scheduled to hold in Awka, Anambra state on Wednesday 4th December, 2019 has been labelled illegal and an act of violation of the federation's constitution by the Board members, Bsnsports.com.ng can report.

This was made known after the board meeting on Tuesday at the Federation's secretariat inside Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. The board members who expressed their dismay at the flagrant violation of the Federation's Constitution by its suspended President, Shehu Gusau who called an annual congress of the AFN in utter disregard of the constitution 6.1.4 which stipulates a 60-day notice must be given before annual congress of the Federation can be convened.

The board urged the public to disregard whatever comes out of the AGM where just few board members that could not form quorum based on the number that will be present at the AGM.
